Stewardship Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

Church Family Communication

Respond to phone calls, emails, and questions from church members regarding their giving records, recurring gifts, or online contributions—offering helpful and timely support.

Financial Reporting & Recordkeeping

Run regular giving reports, maintain accurate contribution records in the church’s system, assist with reconciliation and end-of-year statements, and help track and maintain capital campaign progress and records.

Administrative, Event, & Budget Support

Support the Director of Finance with stewardship-related projects, including preparing reports, assisting with event logistics, and managing budgets.

Organization & Coordination

Manage stewardship-related tasks such as mailing offering envelopes, updating giving records, organizing team processes, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Required Skills

1. Proficient in managing email, calendars, and communication platforms such as Microsoft Outlook and Teams, with experience using file storage tools like Dropbox and OneDrive.

2. Strong math skills, with the ability to work with numbers accurately for financial tracking, reporting, and reconciliation.

3. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, track data, and generate reports.

4. Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond clearly, graciously, and effectively to church members, team members, and leadership.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience using Asana or similar project management tools.

2. Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

3. Familiarity with Planning Center, Virtuous CRM or other church/stewardship management platforms.

4. Experience coordinating or supporting church events and logistics.

5. Understanding of financial processes in a ministry or nonprofit environment.

The Stewardship Coordinator supports the Director of Finance by helping process tithes and offerings, running financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with capital campaign tracking. This role also handles communication with the church family, coordinates stewardship events, and provides support for special projects.

The position is full-time, Sunday through Thursday, with Saturday events as needed.
