Young Adults Director

Job Responsibilities

1. Serve as chief evangelist and gatherer for this ministry ensuring that it continuously reaches and engages young adults and anchors them in community and discipleship with a goal of 300 young adults by the end of 2027.

2. Be the primary driver and communicator of vision and culture for the YA ministry, building a consistently excellent experience for every person.

3. Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable (LMA) by providing vision and clarity, directing and organizing daily work, and ensuring follow-through on responsibilities.

4. Build relationships with ministry leaders and volunteers and drive volunteer recruitment while delegating and elevating recruitment to the team, to increase the reach and leadership of the YA ministry.

5. Set standards of excellent and oversee all YA ministry components including preaching, teaching, small groups, and events to grow people into mature followers of Jesus. Evaluate and enhance program effectiveness — track participation, gather feedback, and implement improvements to constantly strengthen and enrich the ministry.

6. Manage operational and capital expenditures including budgets for weekly events, various large events, capital projects and ministry expenses. Be a primary contributor for Next Gen new facility planning.

Required Skills

1. A mature believer with a great marriage, whose kids love and honor him.

2. A leader of people with the ability to eventually lead a Young Adults team for a church of 6,000-8,000+

3. Is more concerned with the development of the character of his team than he is with creating a great “show” – excellence is still important but comes secondary.

4. Is an authentic, genuine person who people like to be around, and can be trusted.

5. Has a low profile online and is not looking to build his profile or platform.

6. Is not interested in duplicating what other churches are doing but is looking to lean into the Trinity culture and create a team and structure that supports that vision.

7. Has the ability to adapt to the needs of a fast-growing church and the ability to shift focus and their team as new ministry opportunities arise.

Preferred Skills & Experience

1. 5-10 + years of leadership in a church or nonprofit setting, that includes volunteer and staff management.

2. Has experience leading teams, using an integrated model where team members report to them, but are deployed to ministries as needed.

3. Built and scaled volunteer teams to execute multiple services across different days, and ministries while maintaining a “pulse” on the team and developing the character and talent of those they lead.

4. Developed volunteers or staff and raised them up to be leaders either in the church or organization they served in or launched into a new ministry / role – built a team that replaced him.

Work Schedule:
Saturday-Wednesday with normally light duty on Thursdays, Friday Sabbath
